Nordic Theater: Winter War 1939-1940 Complete Game
The Winter War was a war between the Soviet Union and Finland. It began with a Soviet invasion of Finland on 30 November 1939, three months after the outbreak of World War II, and ended three and a half months later with the Moscow Peace Treaty on 13 March 1940.
The year was 1939, and World War II was just about to escalate. The Soviet Union wanted to push its border with Finland on the Karelian Isthmus in an attempt to protect the city of Leningrad and make it secure from a potential German attack. The Soviets then proposed to exchange Soviet territory and secure a 30-year lease for a naval base at the Finnish island Hanko. Finland refused and the Soviet Union launched an attack on November 30, 1939, the start of the Russo - Finnish War.
With this amazing background and scenario, we at War and Honor tried to create a great game that will make you experience this war through all its twists and turns. With determination, decisions, and dice, the winner will be delivered. We wish you luck!
